H2S01 - H2S Alive Energy Safety Canada
This one-day course is for all workers who could be exposed to hydrogen sulphide (H2S), also known as sour gas. Physical properties, health hazards, how to protect oneself and basic rescue techniques are used. Each participant is required to operate a self-contained breathing apparatus, a detector tube device, and perform rescue breathing. This course is certified through ENFORM. Required: Minimum age requirement of 16 years. Valid Government issued Driver’s License, Alberta Learner’s Permit or a valid class 5 out of Province License; students must bring some form of photo identification Lunch if you choose not to eat out off-campus, as cafeteria services may be closed during this time
