ATV01 - ATV Rider Training
Knowing all you can about your ATV and the places you can ride is the best preparation for safe and enjoyable riding. The curriculum, based on field-tested techniques, provides a fun and orderly way to learn proper ATV operation. You'll learn about controls, reading terrain, turning and climbing hills. Students must bring their own ATV and appropriate safety equipment. Students must be at least 18 years of age to attend this class. Required: Mechanically sound ATV with proper PPE (DOT approved helmet, leather gloves that cover the full hand and fingertips, full length pants and shirt, eye protection and steel toed boots that cover the ankle). Lunch, snacks and water are also recommended. This class takes place off campus. To get to class, take Resources Road south, towards Weyerhauser. Training takes place at a gravel pit, located at the second right hand turn, after you go past the Dunes Golf Course and under the overpass. Do not turn into Lafarge as our training location is unmarked. Please call our office if clarification is required.
