SW2130/Lecture/A2 - Social Work with Indigenous Peoples | Credits 3.00
This course provides students with an introduction to social work practice working with Indigenous Peoples. Students will explore Indigenous cultural-specific skills and approaches to social work founded on the cultures, values, and philosophies of Indigenous Peoples. Students will also critically examine the historical legacy of colonialism and social work in Indigenous communities. Note: Available to Social Work Diploma students only. Prerequisites: SW1000 (minimum grade of C (GPA 2.0)) Transfer: Refer to Transfer Alberta for the most up to date information.
