This course will cover the theory and practical applications of piping designs and connections, steam traps, water hammer, insulation, valves, and actuators. Electrical theory, AC and DC machines, switchgear, electrical safety, and electrical calculations will also be covered. Finally, students will learn about control loops and strategies, instrument control devices, and distributed control systems. Prerequisites: 4th class power engineering certificate of competency
